Some of the notable and famous music artists that have performed here were Michael Jackson, the Jackson Brothers and Madonna. The Rogers Arena, which is formerly known as the General Motors Place, is another great venue for music entertainment. This venue can hold 19,000 spectators during a concert. Bryan Adams, Guns N’ Roses, Britney Spears, Spice Girls, Blink-182, Lady Gaga, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Madonna have performed in this venue. The venue is owned and operated by the Canucks Sports & Entertainment and was opened to the public in 1995.
Another great venue is the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver. This venue was once the home for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, but they move out from here now. The new tenant here is now the Ballet BC and Vancouver Opera. This venue can accommodate 2,929 spectators. This performing arts venue is located near the Orpheum Theatre in the downtown of the city. The venue is operated by the Vancouver Civic Theatre Department.
