The New Kids On the Block (NKOTB) are on another concert tour. This time they are going out with two other super groups during the 1990s, R&B hit makers boyz II Men and 98 Degrees. All three would be on the road as co-headliners on “The Package” tour.
NKOTB has just come back to the studio and will be releasing their latest album, 10, along with a new single, “Remix (I Like The)”. Consisting of the brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight, along with Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood, the New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) broke up in 1995, only to get together again in 2008, with a tour and a new album.
Boyz II Men have always been a cut above the rest of the R&B groups of the 1990s. Composed of Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman, they are considered the most successful R&B group of all time with sales of more than 60 million copies. The trio's strength are the harmony, blending and songs. For another, the group is famous for their acapellas, which few contemporary groups do.
It is not very often that a one-off reunion concert gets some momentum and begins to have a life of its own. But with 98 Degrees, that is just what happened. After selling more than 10 million copies, and 8 Top 40 singles, the boy band had gone into hiatus in 2006. They came out of retirement for a one-off performance at the Mixtape Festival in August 2012. They have since gone back to the studio to record a new album. Topping off their comeback, 98 Degrees will be touring the country with Boyz II Men and NKOTB.
These outstanding boy bands will have a show that their fans will never forget. Called “The Package”, the concert tour will have over 30 shows in May to July 2013.
