Celtic Woman is a music group consisting of women which were established by Sharon Brown and the former musical director of Riverdance, David Downes. Initially, the all female group consisted of five Irish women, four of which were the vocals namely Meav Ni Mhaolchatha, Lisa Kelly, Orla Fallon and Chloe Agnew. Mairead Nesbitt played the fiddle in the group. Through the years, there were several changes in the line up due to some of the original members desiring to focus on their families and solo careers. At present, the members of Celtic Woman consist of Mairead Nesbitt, Susan McFadden, Lisa Kelly, Chloe Agnew and Lisa Lambe.

The cool soothing music of Celtic Woman ranges from modern popular music to traditional and nostalgic Celtic music. Celtic Woman performed for PBS television in Ireland and further broadcasted in the United States. Soon after, their newly released first self titled album had reached the number one spot on the World Music Charts of Billboard. It broke the record of Andrea Bocelli and their album stayed at the top for 81 weeks.

After the hit of their first album, Celtic Woman has since then released several more albums which include Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration (2006), Celtic Woman: A New Journey (2007), Celtic Woman: The Greatest Journey (2008), Celtic Woman: A Family Christmas (2008), Celtic Woman: Songs from the Heart (2010), Celtic Woman: Lullaby (2011), Celtic Woman: Believe (Compilation – 2011), Celtic Woman: An Irish Journey (2011), Celtic Woman: A Celtic Christmas (2011), Celtic Woman: Believe (2012) and Celtic Woman: Home for Christmas (2012).
