This circus company is a product of two merged companies. The Ringling Bros. circus was founded in the United States of America by five Ringling brothers who are good in performing skits and juggling. They performed in Wisconsin town halls making money for their suits. After years, this group combined with the famous Yankee Robinson using the name Yankee Robinson and the Ringling Brothers. This group performed not just in Wisconsin but they also crossed to other states where they became famous until in 1919 when they finally merged with Barnaum and Bailey Circus.

Usually, the group would use portable tents in performing and they carry these tents wherever they go until John Ringling North suggested that they needed to use venues such as sports stadium and the like that can accommodate many audience with seats in 1957.

Irven Feld, the man behind the discovery of the famous singer Paul Anka bought the circus in 1967 and developed it. After 3 years, Mattel Inc., a giant toy company producing dolls, cars, and other kinds of toys, bought the circus from Feld. It was only in 1982 when Feld bought it back from Mattel and started managing the circus again. This circus features two circus trains of large capacities that can carry cars of numerous numbers including the members of the circus and its staff. The two famous trains of the circus company are Blue Tour and Red Tour. Each train is unbelievably 1 mile long and they are included in the presentation of the circus. Their tents are inside the trains and their travel is like a gigantic parade of colorful compartments, giving excitement to the viewers and anyone on the road.

The circus group is also particular in animal care and they see to it that their animals are well fed and provided for with their needs to ensure their ability to perform well during the shows.
