Aerosmith Tickets
Aerosmith is an American rock band and they have been called "The Bad Boys from Boston," and "America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band." Their style was rooted in blues-based hard rock also includes the elements of pop, glam, heavy metal and rhythm and blues. Aerosmith has been a model for many rock artists over the decades. Aerosmith has its beginnings in Boston, Massachusetts some 40 years ago in 1970. Original band members include: Joe Perry, Tom, Hamilton, Steven Tyler, Joey Kramer and Ray Tabano. Columbia Records brought them on in 1972 and Aerosmith released a host of multi-platinum albums, which started with their 1973 eponymous debut album.
The year 1975 brought the album, "Toys in the Attic" and in 1976 the Rocks was the next big hit. These two spectacular albums helped cement their status as hard rock superstars. By the end of the 1970's they were probably the most popular hard rock band in the world. Aerosmith also had ended up with a loyal following of fans called the "Blue Army." Sadly, following the pattern in many rock bands, drug addition and personality conflicts hurt the band resulting ultimately in the resignation of Perry in 1979 and Whitford in 1981. Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay replaced Perry and Whitford.
The years of 1980 through 1984 were not productive for the band and unfortunately they only released a single album, "Rock in a Hard Place" which did end up going gold, but it did not achieve the phenomenal success of their earlier efforts. Perry and Whitford returned in 1984 and the band signed a contract with Geffen Records. In 1987, the band showed more maturity and did sober up and released "Permanent Vacation" in 1987.
"Permanent Vacation" helped them regain the original popularity they had in the 1970's.
During the 1980's and 1990's the band had several hits and won numerous awards for music from the following multi-platinum albums:
- Pump in 1989
- Get a Grip in 1983
- Nine Lives in 1997
Aerosmith's comeback has been called one of the most spectacular and phenomenal in rock 'n' roll history. After 40 years together, the band still tours the world and records music. Aerosmith can brag about having the most gold and multi-platinum albums by an American group. They also have the following impressive statistics:

In 2001, Aerosmith was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Another interesting tidbit is that Rolling Stone ranked them #57 of the 100 Greatest Artists of All time in 2005.
