Owl City is a synthpop act that is touring to support their "Ocean Eyes" album which was released in the Summer of 2009. This group has an incredibly unique sound with the use of the Synthesizer. Adam Young, founder of Owl City is a self-professed insomniac who developed Owl City in his parents basement in Owatonna, Minnesota when he couldn't sleep at night while he was in high school. Adam Young and company will begin their Winter 2010 portion of their US tour in Kansas City, Missouri on January 19 in the beautiful Midwest city of Omaha, Nebraska. Additionally due to popular demand, Owl City has announced another tour stint which is set to start on March 30, 2010 in Boise, Idaho. This portion of Owl City's tour will visit an amazing 24 cities. Adam Young's second album, "Ocean Eyes" went on sale in July, 2009 and it ended up at Number 27 on The Billboard 200. A single "Fireflies," hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and it was a big favorite among Ipod users who put it at the top of the list for downloads. By the end 2009 "Ocean Eyes" was a certified Gold album in the United States. Owl City has received the honor of being one of the "rising music stars" on BBC's Sound of 2010 list which showcases new and upcoming music stars.
